Apparently Bellevue caught the eye of someone at Money Magazine. I like Bellevue, but was surprised to see it so high up on the list as the Bellevue real estate market hasn’t been great this year. Bellevue’s downtown core has changed considerably in the last decade and although those skyscrapers seem to hover over Lake Washington, they are actually quite a ways in. Bellevue schools are consistently good and there is an abundance of entertainment. The city of Bellevue has definitely blossomed into its own.

Bellevue Faves: My favorite restaurant there is Chantanee – a delicious Thai restaurant. Even though Lincoln Square is an amazing place, I still love Bellevue Square for shopping.

Least Faves: Parking – I hate to park in Bellevue. It always seems to be a hassle to me compared to Seattle. This is because parking in Bellevue is mostly via parking garages vs street parking in Seattle. Parking garages creep me out and I always seem to get lost in them!!!

Bellevue Homes: Homes in Bellevue tend to be higher end, but you can also find some great deal just a few minutes form its retail core. Lake Hills in particular is a good place to look for nice and affordable homes. The Microsoft area is also a great place for a good combination of afford ability and charm depending on what area you are in.
